About Bohuslav Lantner:

Bohuslav Lantner (1862–1918) was a respected Czech violin maker, trained by his father Ferdinand Lantner. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked with Pfab in Hamburg and then spent three years with Franz Bruckner in Berlin. In 1891, he returned to Prague to take over the family workshop. Lantner was known for his exceptional craftsmanship, creating instruments modeled after Stradivari and Guarneri. He also earned recognition for his restoration work and received several awards throughout his career.
