Two Russian Folk Songs (arr. Stephen Chin) for String Orchestra

If you work hard, play hard! That is what these two pieces bring to mind when played side by side. The melody in "The Volga Boatmen" is shared and is supported by well-shaped counter-melodies.  The sense of fun in "Two Guitars" is quite infectious, exploring some of the challenges of spiccato quavers.
