Xanadu is the third and final work in the series containing The Bells of Ghengis Khan and Battle at the Great Wall.  Kubla Khan, the grandson of Ghengis Khan, was by contrast a leader who was interested in the finer aspects of living such as literature, music and calligraphy.  Clashing chords, piquant harmonies and a wide range of accessible string effects will ignite much enthusiasm in younger players. Grade 2.5.
