
Jamaican Jive (Neridah Oostenbroek) for String Orchestra
Jamaican Jive is an energetic and lively piece with a syncopated rhythmic groove used throughout. While the melodies also use some syncopation, they are very tuneful and easy to play with only a few accidentals. The cello has the tune in the middle section and is accompanied by tremolo and pizzicato in the upper strings.
