About the Maker:

James W. Robinson graduated from Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria (Cremona, Italy) in 1973, under the tutelage of G.B. Morassi and F. Bissolotti. Following his studies, Robinson worked making his own instruments as well as restoring many fine instruments for violin houses in New York, Boston, London, and Tokyo. His instruments have been the recipient of four international awards, including a silver medal for viola tone in 2014 at the VSA competition, Indianapolis, USA.
