Masquerade Ball (Neridah Oostenbroek) for String Orchestra

Masquerade Ball is an exciting piece for a mature string orchestra. The Allegro opening section in 6/8 time is has a vibrant melody that is shared between all parts and uses spiccato throughout. There is a change of mood and tempo in the middle section as the piece modulates to F major with a lyrical tune. The opening melody returns after an accelerando to result in an exhilarating finish!
