Tango (Neridah Oostenbroek) for String Orchestra

Tango is an appealing piece for both young and older players. The strong opening melody is fun to play and is heard in both the upper and lower strings. The accompanying parts feature pizzicato, syncopated quaver accents and also ricochet bowing in the 1st violins. The middle section modulates to D major and the melody has a triplet rhythmic feel. A great schmaltzy piece!
