Reminiscence and Rockin' on Rhythm (Teegan Dowdell) for String Orchestra
These pieces were initially composed when I was teaching in schools in 2014 and needed to inspire my students into some beauty and fun in music. The two pieces together are a great duet of variety for a performance; the calmness of Reminiscence in developing legato detaché strokes, versus the fun and rhythmic elements of Rockin’ on Rhythm which is always a show-stopper!
