Boots and Saddle (Keith Sharp) for String Orchestra

Boots and Saddle is a simple arrangement in D major of a memorable fiddle-style tune. All parts take turns playing the melody. An optional Extension Violin 1 part doubles the 1st Violin with some transposition at the octave above and allows more advanced students to play in the 3rd position. The Violin 2 and Viola parts double throughout. Tempo may be tailored to suit ensemble standard as the piece sits well at slower and quicker speeds.
